4:55 Of Fun

The Cards beat the Pirates 4 - 3 in 14 innings and 4 hours and 55 minutes tonight at Busch Stadium. A long, long day indeed. But you know what? This was the most fun game of The 2013 season for the St. Louis Cardinals TV crew and it's fans. There was so much in this game. The Cardinals tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning when the Bucs left fielder dropped a routine fly ball in the bottom of the ninth with Pittsburgh leading 3 - 2 with one out. Later, that batter came around to score to tie the game. Both teams had chances in extra innings to win the game and both teams foiled the other teams chances with double plays! This was one of those rare games where there was more action in extra innings than during the first nine innings. Plus, walk-off wins are a joy to cut and tonight's game was only the second game of the season that the Redbirds won in walk-off fashion. A long day indeed but worth it!!
