It's Not How You Start

The cardinals beat the Reds tonight by the score of 5 - 1 in 2:43. Both starting pitchers - Bronson Arroyo for the Reds and Lance Lynn for the Redbirds both pitched great. In fact, Arroyo retired the first 15 Cardinals in the game. It is usually around the 6th or 7th inning that the TV crew starts thinking about a perfect game. Arroyo's shot at a perfect game came to an end when the first batter of the inning doubled. The Cards went on to score 4 runs in that 6th inning and with Lynn pitching so well the drama of the game was over. On a personal note, my father and brother were in town and really enjoyed the game.
