The Pirates beat the Cards today in 3:02 by the score of 9 - 0. From a TV standpoint, this was a game that was much easier to televise than the first two of the series. There was a fairly good pace to this game until the Cardinals' bullpen once again imploded allowing 5 runs in the top of the ninth inning. Once again there really wasn't anything special about this game/telecast. The loudest cheer of the day came after the final out. Not because the game was over but because a member of our crew missed winning the pool by one second. We have a pool where we guess the exact time of the final out. If nobody wins there is a carryover. For sure, the Redbirds weren't the most disappointed losers after the game. The most disappointed would be our crew member.
