Bad Bad Bad
The 9 inning Cardinals/Angels game in Anaheim tonight took 3 hours and 56 minutes to play. The Cardinals won the game by the score of 12 - 10. Here is the rundown: the first 3 innings took 40 minutes to play. Innings 4-5-6 took 1 hour and 40 minutes to play. The final 3 innings took 1 hour and 36 minutes to play. There never was an inning where a single run scored. The cards scored 2 runs twice, 3 runs once and 5 runs in a single inning. The Halos scored 2 runs twice and 3 runs twice in a single inning. In fact, the Redbirds scored twice in the top of the ninth inning and the Angels scored 3 times in the bottom of the ninth. In fact, the Cards closer who nobody in their right mind thought would participate in this game entered and faced 3 batters and walked them all. The bottom of the ninth inning was just a brutal inning. As brutal as it gets. The Cards led by 5 runs starting the inning and before you knew it, the score was 12 - 10, the bases were loaded and there was just 1 out. A strikeout and pop out against the 3rd Cards reliever of the inning ended this game and ended the angst of Cardinals fans and the Cardinals TV production team. Bad Bad Bad.
