Rhythm Recipe

Tonight's Cardinals/Brewers game/telecast in Milwaukee should be known as a recipe for rhythm. Both starting pitchers were working fast and throwing strikes. The game started at 7:10 and the final out of the third inning came at 7:47. That's right, the first 3 innings took 37 minutes to play. A director's dream. I decided to time the length of innings 4-5-6 and 7-8-9. The fourth, fifth and sixth innings took 58 minutes and the seventh, eighth and ninth innings took 55 minutes to play. Well, after nine innings the game was tied 1 - 1. The Redbirds won the game in 10 innings 2 - 1 and the tenth inning took 38 minutes to play. One minute slower than the first three innings! The first nine innings were a blast to cut because the pace was a rhythm recipe. The tenth inning was also great to cut because of the strategies employed by each manager. Great fun tonight!!
